Like virtually everything else in Web marketing having a site that makes you money is a blend of the two primary online marketing ingredients; targeted visitors and a good, compelling offer.

How To Start a Blog Website For Profit?
You can begin your site for free with blogger or among the other free blogging platforms out there, but I don’t recommend it for two main reasons.
Many people run into the ‘free blog’ trap.
However, the first reason that I would avoid free blogging platforms, such as Blogger, is that when your site is hosted on Blogger, the domain, content, and traffic are theirs, not yours.
Google, who owns Blogger, is actually fully in control of your blog and they can make changes at any time. Do you want that to happen?
The second reason you should steer clear of free blog hosting programs when you’re building your site, empire or company you want to be able to monetize it as you grow with ease.
This is why I recommend and personally use WordPress as my blog platform.
If you want to set up your own website, or blog, I highly recommend Bluehost. It will give you the best advantage to earn money with your website. Using my link it starts at only $3.95/month – which is a great offer. Bluehost is the best web hosting package that gives you a FREE Domain, 1-Click WordPress Installation. Get started here.
How Long Does It Take To Earn Money From a Blog?
The first thing you should do when starting a blog that you expect will bring in a healthy income for you one day is plan things out.
That’s right; you should sit down for a few hours and make a business plan.
That will help make sure you don’t miss any of the details you’ll need to be successful.
There is no specific timeframe to guarantee you will earn money straight away with a blog.
Rather, starting a blog is a marathon – a long-term game – that will pay off increasingly over time.
Be sure you consider the following important areas:
What the main theme of your blog is going to be
The monetization plans you’ll utilize
A spending budget
A marketing growth plan
How to get visitors and traffic
and an often-forgotten part of several business plans, the exit plan
Most highly successful blogs are closely themed and it can take some time to really get clear on your theme or niche.
That is okay, just be prepared to get stuck in and learn as much as you can to increase the profits based on your level of effort.
Closely themed means they concentrate closely on a specific subject or niche, such as local residential real estate, working from home, online income methods, ’60’s muscle cars, or personal finance.
This focus will help you build a core base of loyal readers and subscribers.
These are very significant for the immediate and long-term success of your site.
Pro Tip: Having a large, lively subscriber list adds lots of value to your site should you need to sell it.
It is great to choose a topic/theme that you’re passionate about.
But, if you’re having difficulty selecting a theme, look for one with huge profit potential.
There will be more on this later.
Pro-Active Steps For How To Begin a Blog That Makes Money
Decide what you’ll call your site and get your domain name.
To have a blog which makes money, you will need to have targeted visitors, the more, the better.
That’s largely a function of the content.
A large amount of good, original content (not content scraped from other blogger’s RSS feeds).
Some on-page search engine optimization techniques won’t hurt, but good, high-quality content will get you both search engine visitors, and repeat traffic from people that only want to read your stuff.
