Reason 2: You chose Standard money transfer rather than Instant money transfer
When using the Standard money transfer method, it takes 1-3 business days or sometimes longer for the money to be in the account. Also, when you transfer money from the Venmo wallet to your bank account on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and after 7pm ET, this transaction may take 1 more day to complete. Because that transaction will not be processed until the next business day. When using Instant Funds Transfer, it sometimes takes about 30 minutes to complete. In this case, you need to be patient and double check your trade. In part 1, I also detailed how to choose either Instant or Standard money transfer. There is a caveat that, if you use the Instant money transfer method, there is a 1.5% fee (from $0.25 and up to $15).
Sometimes your Venmo Instant transfer is not available. This is because you used a card or bank account for successful instant transfers in the past. Because Venmo once reported that its database could not override instant transfer rejections. In this case, try changing to the Standard method of money transfer.
