In the Spotlight: Las Vegas Artist Manager Devon Brabham

1. Devon, it’s great to connect with an entrepreneur over in Las Vegas! Tell us a bit about your company…

American Monster Guild is a music management and entertainment company. We specializes in re-branding artist, building their fan base, and marketing their entire music catalogue to fans, labels, entertainment websites, and digital retail sites. The goal is to assist the artists in reaching the next available plateau in their musical and professional entertainment careers, by exposing them to superior business savvy tactics that will aid them throughout their career in entertainment.

2. How do you help the artists that you work with?

American Monster Guild assists the artists with branding of their image and of their music name. We offer consulting services to artists based on their individual talent and career goals. We connect artists with the right type of people and industry professionals that can provide the necessary training and skills that will move the artists forward in their artistic development. If the artist hast heir own business, we also assist them in branding their company both legally and within the community to bring awareness to their specific company vision and goals.

3. If you could work with anyone in history who would it be?

I would really love and inspire to work with Kanye West. He is truly a visionary and a trendsetter. He gets a lot of negative publicity because of his actions, but he has truly paved the way for many of our young talented stars today.

4. What do you look for in an artist?

I look for an artist with direction, business plan, marketing outlook, and originality. Artists that have put in the time to learn the basics of the entertainment industry, in our experience have a much easier time transitioning into being an American Monster Guild artist. We look for work ethic and what makes them unique from the one million of other talented artists in the world.

5. What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

American Monster Guild has had many accomplishments since its origination. Some of the highlights have been, we have been offered a few sub label deals with major music companies. We have been recognized by the Las Vegas community as the premiere music management company and have been sought after by many independent artists from around the world in order for them to join our illustrious organization.

6. What makes your management style different?

American Monster Guild’s management style is aggressive, innovative, determined and creative, in order to attain the results that our artists have come to expect from us. American Monster Guild doesn’t not rest even when our artists do. AMG has developed key, professional relationships that have proven to be beneficial to our artists because of the way that we do business for our artists.

7. What is the main advice you think upcoming artists need from an accountant?

From an accountant, an artist needs to make sure that they have laid the necessary financial foundation in order to be able to grow effectively with their craft. An accountant can merely grow what is already there. As far as from a management company, an artist needs to be aware of the legal policies and procedures that must be taken care of first, because it makes the transition to being a professional artist that much easier.

8. Some of our readers are trying to grow their brands as independent artists – can you give our readers one tip for growth?

One tip for growth, that we at American Monster Guild can give is, know your demographic. Many artists are just making music without any idea on who their target audience is. At American Monster Guild we conduct extensive research in order to know the target audience in which the independent artist is selling to.

9. What is the biggest accomplishment you would like to make in the next 5 years?

We would love to work with Interscope and Sony Music in the next 5 years. I believe that we can be very beneficial to the international brands that are already established by these companies.
