In the Spotlight: Violet the Accountant and Life Coach

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me! Please tell us a bit about yourself and what youaccountant in luton violetdo currently…

I am an accountant and run my own practice. I now mainly help individuals understand their finances better both in business and personal life, and use this knowledge to drive growth. My passion is to help people become financially independent, through developing personalised plans and approaches. I am also a life coach.

What inspired you to start doing your own business venture?

I don’t really like being told what to do and when to do it. I also have 3 boys who come first before everything else and the only way to work round this was becoming my own boss.

As time has gone on, I am noticing that society is sinking fast into debt, and it has become a way of life – this can’t be right, surely!

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

I haven’t gone back into employment, even when times have been really tough in my business and personal life. It is now over 3 years and I am still here.

What fuels you to keeps you going each day?

My family and the desire to see the world become a better place financially (one person at a time)

Who are the top 3 celebrities/experts you’d love to work with? And why?

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie – I just love the woman

Michelle Obama – She is amazing

Lisa Nichols – She always has so much to give

Take a moment to close your eyes. Where do you see yourself in 5 year’s time?

Being a full time life coach and running regular personal finance workshops.

If you could get the perfect help from an online tax return service, what would they do for you?

Being an accountant, I don’t think there can ever be a perfect.

Can you give our readers 2 key tips for success in business?

(i) Change the process not the goal. Stay true to what it is that you want to achieve.

(ii) If your nearest and dearest don’t get it, then you are on to something. Don’t spend time trying to convince them – just do it.

If you were stuck on a desert island and could only bring 3 things what would they be?

A book, a duvet, and my phone

How do you describe yourself in 5 words?

Quirky, adventurous, compassionate, motivated, hardworking
