The Black Klansman | BlacKkKlansman Ron Stallworth // 60 Second Docs

In the late 70s, black detective Ron Stallworth of Colorado Springs went undercover as a white supremacist to infiltrate the KKK. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely set out on a dangerous mission: expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruited a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman, to serve as his in-person “white avatar” in the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they teamed up to take down the extremist hate group — even as the organization aimed to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.

BlacKkKlansman, a Spike Lee Joint based on Stallworth’s true story and produced by Jordan Peele, is in theaters August 10.
