Miss Shining Star Pageant is a beauty pageant that aims to give each girl a chance to shine for a day — a chance to celebrate what makes them special. Girls from kindergarten age all the way up to 30 are eligible for the initiative, started in Washington by Sofia, and her mom Rene Satterfield, to help other girls like herself feel bold, brave and beautiful.
