Spotlight Interview: Screenwriter and Author Adwoa Asiedu!

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me! Please tell us a bit about yourself and what you do currently…

Hiya! Thank you very much for featuring me. I appreciate it.

I’m an Author and a creative individual who is passionate about Poetry, Songwriting, Singing, Screenwriting and Acting. Currently doing my MA in Creative Writing.

What inspired you to start creating your own music?

I started writing poetry from the age of 14 for which I had my first poem ‘Snow’ published and then I had my first lyric song: Come Closer which was published with Young Writers. Since then I have published my own volumes of song lyrics:

Lyrics From Within Volume 1 and Lyrics From Within Volume 2 which are out on amazon along with my volumes of poems: From Within Volume 1 and From Within Volume 2 also available on amazon.

I would like to keep writing, collaborate with different artists and release my own album. Music to me is another way of communicating and I would like to reach out to different types of people.

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

Publishing my latest film project: Superstar –an original film project that includes the proposal, synopsis, scripts, poetry and songs. It is available to purchase on amazon.

What do you have planned for this year?

Working on my studies, promoting my film project: Superstar and networking.

Who are the top 3 celebrities/artists you’d love to work with? And why?

There are many artists who I’d love to work with but the top 3 are…

Ashanti– She’s a phenomenal artist. I’ve always loved her music especially her song ‘Only You’ and her recent single ‘Say Less’.

Little Mix-They are sweet, adorable and talented. I love the unity between them. It’s always beautiful to see women supporting other women.

Jessica Alba– She’s a legendary business woman. Loved her in the film ‘Honey’. She really inspired me to take an interest in film.

Take a moment to close your eyes. Where do ideally you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

I see myself being established in the entertainment industry as a successful and influential Artist and Entrepreneur.

If you could get the perfect help from an online tax return service, what would they do for you?

Mainly to help with savings and investments.

Can you give our readers 2 key tips for staying creative?

Stay connected to God and be flexible.

If you were stuck on a desert island and could only bring 3 things what would they be?

IPod, Bottle of water and my Phone.

How do you describe yourself in 5 words?

Adventurous, Funny, Positive, Loving and Loyal.
